Joyce Garro

Joyce Garro is a native of Chicago. She joined the Golddiggers after moving to Los Angeles and auditioning at NBC. Joyce feels she had the best years of the Golddiggers, performing in Monte Carlo, Acapulco, Montreal, Las Vegas, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles... The highlight of her time with the Golddiggers was touring with Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin.

Joyce has priceless memories of working as a Dean Martin Golddigger. Aside from the many celebrities she's worked with and has had the opportunity to know personally, she cherishes the friendships she's made with the particular group of women she performed with: Patti, Peggy, Maria, Linda, and Robyn. She considers them her sisters and will always keep their many secrets! She will never forget how they joined hands together in prayer before every performance. Joyce also remembers the many nights spent on the disco floor after performances. After all, dancing was the best diet to keep in shape for Dean Martin TV specials!

After only three years with the Golddiggers, Joyce decided it was time to become a solo artist again. You've heard her at many reputable Nightclubs and Showrooms from Chicago to LA, always performing with the best musicians accompanying her. Joyce has recorded with David Benoit and performed with him for the Asia American Bravo Awards. She has also recorded numerous commercials. She will often surprise her audience by accompanying herself at the piano or with the guitar, singing not only in English, but in Italian, Spanish, Hebrew, Greek, and Japanese. She's even sung the Irish National Anthem in Gaelic for the Ireland Fund Dinner honoring Donald O'Conner at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. Joyce's charismatic way has made her a popular emcee for many functions.

Joyce twice sang the National Anthem for the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field in Chicago. She has also dazzled audiences with her acting talents and flare for comedy. She performs with various group combinations for Corporate Events, Social Engagements, Theme Parties, Outdoor Festivals, Nightclubs, Weddings, Memorial Services, and often donates her time and talent to charitable endeavors.

Being all Italian/American, Joyce continues to perform for many Italian Festivals sharing stories about Dean Martin and singing many Italian songs that Dean made famous. Joyce loved working with Dean Martin. He lovingly called her "Little Deigo" (and is the only one who could get away with that)!!!!

Joyce continues to dig for a different kind of gold. Her spiritual nature reveals itself when she declares her motive is to promote unity and peace through song. She loves God, Jesus, embracing loving people of all faiths, singing in churches, temples, and sacred places.

Family is most important to Joyce. She is most proud of her two children, Anthony and Kimberly. She lives her life by the 10 Commandments and the Golden Rule, always with a song of love in her heart.
